Job summary

Elis Ireland is seeking an experienced payroll professional who is ready to take the next step into management. You will own the weekly and monthly payroll for Elis Ireland and Northern Ireland, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

You will lead and develop the payroll team, work closely with HR, Finance and Operations, ensure compliance with Irish and UK legislation and GDPR, and drive process improvements across the payroll function.

We are looking for an experienced payroll professional who is ready to take the next step into management. You may currently be a Payroll Supervisor, Senior Payroll Administrator or Payroll Team Lead looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a larger payroll function.

You will have strong end-to-end payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, good knowledge of payroll legislation and the ability to lead, influence and work effectively across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the weekly and monthly payroll for Elis Ireland and Northern Ireland, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Lead and support the payroll team, managing workloads and developing team capability.
• Ensure payroll complies with Irish and UK legislation, tax, pensions and company requirements.
• Work closely with HR, Finance and Operations to ensure accurate payroll information and reporting.
• Manage payroll queries and act as the key point of contact for employees and stakeholders.
• Maintain strong payroll controls, confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
• Manage relationships with payroll and benefits providers and support payroll system improvements.
• Drive process improvements, automation and efficiency across the payroll function.
• Support audits, reporting and payroll reconciliations.
• Keep up to date with legislative changes and ensure these are implemented effectively.
