Job summary

Phoenix Group is hiring a Payroll Administrator to join our Customer Payroll Team in Dublin. You will process payrolls for pre- and post-retirement customers, including ARFs and annuities, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and responding to payroll queries.

Full training will be provided to develop your payroll expertise in a collaborative environment, with exposure to complex payroll processes and compliance duties within Revenue guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years payroll experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and post-retirement products (ARFs, Annuities) is advantageous.
• QFA qualification or working towards it is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end payroll processing accurately and on time.
• Data collection and payroll processing; preparing bank files and cheque registers.
• Providing payroll reports to Finance.
• Take ownership of Annuity Payrolls (including BPA payments).
• Provide cover for ARF/Taxed Cash payrolls when required.
• Respond promptly to payroll queries and ensure Revenue compliance.
• Maintain data protection and confidentiality; perform manual tax calculations.
• Support Servicing/Advisers with PAYE tax-related queries.
• Attend monthly tax reconciliation meetings and assist with payroll tax reconciliations.
• Participate in annual Imputed Distribution projects and other payroll initiatives.
