Panda Ireland is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the payroll team in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

This hands-on, high-volume role supports weekly and monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely pay while maintaining compliance with Revenue, statutory obligations and internal controls. You will handle multi‑week payroll cycles, data integrity, and payroll reporting in a fast-paced environment, with scope to contribute to process improvements and cross‑functional projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience processing end-to-end high-volume payroll.
  • IPASS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with in-house payroll systems and Quantum desirable.
  • Experience with Time & Attendance systems; TMS advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process four weekly payrolls for ~1,300 employees and four monthly payrolls for ~250 employees.
  • Download/import weekly timesheets and process payroll data; validate accuracy.
  • Upload payroll submissions to Revenue via ROS and generate payslips.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and P30 returns.
  • Administer third-party deductions (pensions, health, Christmas savings) and payroll documentation.
  • Respond to payroll queries and support HR/Finance with ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Assist with Time & Attendance administration and cross‑functional payroll projects.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team in Fassaroe, Bray.

This is a hands‑on, high‑volume payroll role supporting weekly and monthly payroll processing across a busy operational business. You will play an important part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining strong compliance with Revenue requirements, statutory obligations, audit standards and internal controls.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with detail, deadlines and data, and who is confident managing payroll processes in a structured, fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Payroll Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing four weekly payrolls for approximately 1,300 employees
  • Assisting with four monthly payrolls for approximately 250 employees
  • Downloading and importing weekly timesheets from the Time & Attendance system
  • Downloading and processing RPNs through ROS
  • Maintaining accurate employee payroll records, including permanent payments and deductions
  • Completing manual calculations, adjustments and payroll data entry where required
  • Carrying out validation checks to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Issuing payslips to employees
  • Uploading payroll submissions and ERRs to Revenue via ROS
  • Creating and uploading bank payment files
  • Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations and P30 returns
  • Administering and reconciling third‑party deductions and payments, including pension, health insurance, Christmas savings and Sports & Social deductions
  • Completing payroll‑related documentation, including Department of Social Protection forms, mortgage applications and employment confirmations
  • Responding professionally to employee and stakeholder queries through the central Payroll mailbox
  • Supporting HR and Finance with payroll analysis and ad‑hoc reporting
  • Supporting Time & Attendance administration where required
  • Taking part in payroll, finance and cross‑functional projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, processes and turnaround times
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.

You will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience processing end‑to‑end high‑volume payroll
  • IPASS certification
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Experience working with in‑house payroll systems
  • Experience using Quantum would be desirable
  • Experience with Time & Attendance systems
  • Experience using TMS would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach to payroll queries
  • A proactive, flexible and collaborative working style
