St Canice’s Kilkenny Credit Union Limited is seeking a Payments Manager to lead the payment operations, ensuring secure, compliant and efficient delivery of all payment services including SEPA, direct debits, EFTs and card services. The role involves oversight of outsourced providers, risk management and continuous improvement to benefit members.

The successful candidate will have at least five years in banking/payments within credit unions or financial services, a QFA or equivalent

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years' experience in banking, payments, financial services or credit union operations.
• Minimum of a QFA or equivalent qualification (or APA Loans designation) essential, a business or finance related degree (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of: SEPA Credit Transfers, Direct Debits, Current Accounts, Debit Card Operations, Online and Digital Banking Services
• Experience managing outsourced service providers.
• Strong financial operational risk and compliance knowledge.
• Experience investigating operational incidents and resolving complex issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience developing or maintaining policies, procedures and controlled documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payment management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships across teams.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to adapt to new situations
• An appreciation and an awareness of the credit union ethos

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day payment operations and ensure accurate processing.
• Lead payment services compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with outsourced service providers.
• Drive process improvements to enhance member experience and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain procedures for payment processing and incident handling.
• Lead incident investigations and reporting; coordinate remediation actions.
• Monitor performance against service levels and regulatory standards.
• Support audits and regulatory returns as required.
