Job summary

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to support homecare devices, installations and training for patients across Ireland. The role involves field-based work with visits to hospitals and patient homes, primarily in the Western Region, with travel to surrounding counties.

Qualified nurses with hospital, nursing home or homecare experience are invited. You will need strong organisational and communication skills, and a full driving licence with willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Set up/install homecare devices at patient homes and hospital locations.

• Support clinical training and educational workshops in key centers within the region.
• Attend respiratory conferences/meetings as required and assist with program delivery.
• Support respiratory business in the Western region and other regions as needed.
• Role may adapt to introduce new products and services.

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland has over 30 years experience and specialises in treating and monitoring respiratory diseases in the patient's home supporting multiple therapies: Home Oxygen Nebulisers Ventilations Sleep We currently provide such therapies to over 10,000 patients across Ireland (combined private and public healthcare). Our field based operations team consist of Healthcare Technicians and Patient Care & Sales Specialists, who ensure that our patients receive the support that they need whilst using our equipment. From installation, training on how to use equipment, servicing and removal. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? We are currently searching for a Patient Care Specialist to join the team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing customers and to support winning new business in this expanding market by promoting our range of products and services to key stakeholders in hospitals and community integrated teams across the Western Region of Ireland.

Ideally this candidate would be based in Leitrim Roscommon or surrounding area with a larger focus of work in Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo and with support/ cover to neighboring counties. This is a Permanent role.

Key activities of the role include;

• Set up/ installation of homecare devices such as CPAP, NIV, Invasive Ventilation, Diagnostics and Cough Assist primarily at patient’s homes and at hospital locations.
• Manage patient home installations, clinic installations/support, training and compliance activities with patients and clinicians
• Manage patient follow up post install: to include telephone calls, post install home visits and compliance follow up. Will need to communicate feedback to prescribing centers.
• To support clinical training & educational workshops in key centers within the region.
• Attendance at Respiratory Conferences/Meetings when required
• Supporting respiratory business in the Western region and other regions.
• Adaption of the role may be required to support new product introduction.

Are you a MATCH?

• Qualified Nurse with experience in the hospital, Nursing home, and/or homecare environment.
• Professional and empathetic patient manner.
• A person with exceptional organisational, communication and record keeping skills, with proven ability to present, train, mentor and influence to a variety of customers
• Commercial experience desirable but not essential, with the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers
• Proven attention to detail and follow through
• Computer literate/practical working IT skills
• Full driving licence and an openness to regular travel for the role #LI-KM1
