Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Limerick is recruiting for an Admissions Administrator - Patient Access. The role oversees the booking and admission process to ensure a seamless experience for patients and the hospital, reflecting our commitment to quality, respect, care and compassion.

The position is full-time on a 35-hour week, with flexibility in days/times. Remuneration ranges from €31,618 to €48,927, depending on experience. A panel may be formed for future vacancies.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in an administration function
• Previous secretarial / administrative experience in a healthcare setting would be advantageous
• Previous Cash Handling experience
• Must be customer service orientated and maintain professional communication with patients, visitors and staff
• Possess the interpersonal skills to facilitate working effectively in a team ensuring strong relationship building and the ability to achieve department goals and objectives
• Ability to multitask within a team environment
• Previous experience using Patient Management Systems is desirable
• A good working general knowledge of private health insurance claims and billing is desirable
• To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the booking and admission of a scheduled patient is seamless for patient, hospital and Consultant.
• Deliver high quality customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
• Support the Patient Access Team Lead and colleagues to ensure efficient operations.
