Job summary

The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon seeks a Participatory Arts Support Manager (HEO) for a permanent, full-time role in Ireland. You will lead funding assessments, manage relationships, and contribute to MGAW strategy while mentoring a team and coordinating with senior staff.

You will support policy development, deliver funding recommendations, and foster cross‑department collaboration to advance arts in Irish life. A primary degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills with public sector experience.
• Commitment to Participatory Arts and policy environment knowledge.
• Ability to think analytically and communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing funding and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic goals and MGAW objectives across the Participatory Arts team.
• Lead project teams, coach staff and manage multiple initiatives.
• Oversee funding relationships, grant assessments and award payments.
• Develop policy and participate in strategic decision-making.
• Build collaborative internal and external relationships and ensure high service standards.
• Provide expertise to support sound policy making and strategy.
