Job summary

Cork Builders Providers, part of Grafton Group, Cork, is seeking a Trade Sales Advisor for the Togher Cork branch. The role focuses on knowledgeable, friendly service to customers while optimising branch sales and gross profit.

Responsibilities include building customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, achieving sales and margin targets, and maintaining an orderly counter and stock levels across Plumbing, Timber, Steel and Ironmongery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy builders provider is desirable but not necessary (training provided).
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding both sales and margin targets.
• Sales experience selling a broad range of products.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with customers to understand requirements and supply correct products.
• Identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to maximise profitable sales and margin.
• Achieve sales and margin targets.
• Maintain a clean, well-merchandised counter area aligned with company policy.
• Process paperwork accurately and in line with company policies for sales.
• Re-order selected product lines and maintain stock levels in Plumbing, Timber, Steel and Ironmongery.
• Liaise with suppliers as needed and support Branch Manager/colleagues for efficient operations.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Actively safeguard company goods against theft and participate in ongoing duties as required.
