Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association is inviting applications for a part-time Healthcare Assistant (Personal Assistant) to support members in Youghal and surrounding areas. The role involves home visits to assist with personal care, domestic tasks, and social activities, contributing to members’ independence.

Requirements include QQI Level 5 Care Support or similar, a full clean driving licence, and a smartphone for visit check-ins.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Care Support or similar Social Care qualification is essential.
• Full clean driver’s licence is essential.
• Use of your own smart phone to check in and out of your visits is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, domestic, social or educational assistance as needed to enable independence.
• Role primarily takes place in members' homes and communities.
• Liaise with ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff to coordinate care.
