Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association seeks committed Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) for Edenderry and surrounding areas in Offaly. The part-time position is 17 hours per week with full availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings and every second weekend.

Carers assist members at home and in the community, aiming to maximise independence. Base hourly rate ranges €16.52–€18.39, with enhanced rates before 8am, after 8pm, Sundays and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring roles is essential.
• Excellent communication in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Enable Members to achieve independence in daily living with personal care, domestic, social and educational assistance, travel and companionship.
• Work takes place in Members' homes and communities.
• Coordinate with Home carers and ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff.
