Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association is seeking Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) for South Kilkenny (Thomastown to Ferrybank). The role is part-time, about 10 hours per week, with varied shifts to fit availability.

Salary ranges from €16.54–€18.39 per hour, with enhanced rates before 8am, Sundays, and public holidays. Benefits include mileage, sick pay, pension scheme, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Community & Health Services, Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support (essential)
• Experience of working with people in a caring role (essential)
• Be reliable, trustworthy and maintain confidentiality
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Access to own car and full driving licence (essential)

Responsibilities

• Assist Members to achieve maximum independence in daily living
• Provide personal care, domestic and social support as required
• Support travel and companionship as needed
