Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association seeks committed Healthcare Assistants / Personal Assistants for Sligo location. Roles are part-time up to 30 hours weekly with shifts morning and/or evenings, including every 2nd weekend.

Benefits include pay scale €16.54–€18.39 per hour, higher rates for early mornings, evenings, Sundays and public holidays, mileage, sick/paternity/maternity pay, and training opportunities. VHI, HSF and PRSA schemes available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caring role is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Full driver's licence and access to own car is essential.

Responsibilities

• Enable Members to achieve maximum independence in daily living and provide assistance in personal care, domestic tasks, social and educational support, travel and companionship.
• Role operates in Members' homes and communities.
• Liaise with ALS Coordinator and Scheduling staff to coordinate care.
