Job summary

ACCPRO in Dublin is seeking a part-time Financial Controller to join the team in an autonomous role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will manage day-to-day financial operations, handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, VAT returns and related controls, and prepare quarterly and annual reports.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally within an SME.
  • Experience with Sage is an advantage.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial record keeping.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish tax, compliance, payroll, and financial regulations.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank recs, cash flow, VAT returns and related financial controls.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports and forecasts.
  • Process monthly payroll and pension scheme.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation.
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic business decisions.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s growth strategy.
