Job summary

Engage People Recruitment is assisting a Dublin-based professional services firm in recruiting a Part-Qualified Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent, hybrid basis in Dublin.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, relevant third-level qualification, and be nearing completion of ACA/ACCA or equivalent exams. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, taking ownership of day-to-day finance operations and supporting reporting and month-end processes.

• Experience within a professional services environment is essential.
• Strong academic background and a relevant third-level qualification.
• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent with exams nearing completion.
• Strong technical accounting, reconciliation and financial control experience.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, management accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounting ledgers, intercompany reconciliations and monthly recharges.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll across Ireland and the UK.
• Monitor WIP, client balances and key control accounts.
• Maintain robust financial controls and support the wider finance team.
