The Care Team Ireland is seeking caring, reliable and experienced Carers to support children with additional needs in the Wicklow area on a part-time basis.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping children to develop their independence, participate in daily activities and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Formación

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or a relevant qualification in Social Care, Childcare or Disability Studies.
• Qualifications or experience as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA).
• Qualifications or training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
• Previous experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and reliable approach.
• Willingness to undertake additional training if required.
• A full driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

The Care Team is seeking caring, reliable and experienced Carers to support children with additional needs in the Wicklow area on a part-time basis.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping children to develop their independence, participate in daily activities and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment.

The successful candidates will have experience supporting children with autism, intellectual disabilities or other additional needs, with a patient, positive and understanding approach to care.

Key Requirements

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or a relevant qualification in Social Care, Childcare or Disability Studies.
• Qualifications or experience as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA).
• Qualifications or training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
• Previous experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and reliable approach.
• Willingness to undertake additional training if required.
• A full driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

Desirable Skills And Experience

• Experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
• Knowledge of Children First safeguarding guidelines.
• Training or experience in communication supports, such as Lámh or PECS.
• Experience supporting children with behaviours of concern.
