Job summary

The Care Team Ireland is seeking caring, reliable and experienced Carers to support children with additional needs in the Wicklow area on a part-time basis.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping children to develop their independence, participate in daily activities and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or a relevant qualification in Social Care, Childcare or Disability Studies.
• Qualifications or experience as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA).
• Qualifications or training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
• Previous experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and reliable approach.
• Willingness to undertake additional training if required.
• A full driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children with additional needs.
• Help children develop independence and participate in daily activities.
• Support children to achieve individual goals in a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with families and the care team.
• Undertake induction and ongoing training as required.
