Job summary

Autism A Chara seeks a Team Leader (Specific Purpose) to oversee our Day service in Bray, Co. Wicklow. This part-time role offers 15 hours per week with shifts including evenings and weekends.

You will hold a degree in Social Care or a related field, lead a small team, and implement care plans in line with PCPs, while ensuring person-centred support.

Fluent English, strong communication, a full driving license, and permission to work in Ireland are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
• A full Degree in Social Care/ Studies Or Relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
• Permission to work in Ireland essential
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills

Skills/Abilities required of a Team Leader

• Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
• Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
• Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
• Proven ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work alone in coordinating and managing developing services.
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
• Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
• Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
