Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking a part-time childcare assistant to supervise and engage school-aged children after school hours. You will support homework, lead activity sessions, and help create a safe, inclusive environment at participating schools.

Hours are 1:30pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a focus on energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork to support families and children across Ireland. Garda vetting is coordinated after the interview stage.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school aged children
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to work with children
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
