Job summary

Amwell’s Behavioural Health Coach role within the SilverCloud programmes seeks a clinician to support and motivate users engaging with mental health and wellbeing programmes for anxiety, depression, and stress. The role includes writing reviews and providing individualized guidance to help users succeed in their programmes.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a focus on digital behavioural health coaching, safety monitoring, and collaboration with clinical supervisors and managers

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Care, Psychotherapy or Counselling; must be registered or in process.
• Strong understanding of Online Mental Health Services.
• Experience working with Children & Young People is desirable.
• Excellent communication, writing and typing skills; clear and personal written communication.
• Comfort using multiple technological tools and adapting to new tech quickly.
• Insightful, empathetic and compassionate; able to observe details to support users.
• Excellent judgement; capable of risk identification and consulting a supervisor within coaching boundaries.
• Experience with cognitive behavioural models, motivational interviewing or short-term therapy approaches.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence and innovation in digital behavioural health coaching.
• Review user engagement and motivate, support and manage health and wellbeing through online programmes.
• Provide weekly written reviews to support and guide users as they progress through their programme.
• Monitor content for potential concern, using data and escalate information through appropriate channels.
• Demonstrate empathetic presence by expressing empathy, observing patterns, and supporting realistic, personalized goals.
• Encourage users to utilise their programme to meet identified goals, maintaining engagement.
• Work with the clinical supervisor team to respond to users, promoting safety and access to treatment options.
• Attend monthly meetings with your manager and supervisor and participate in group supervision.
