Job summary

Barden | B Corp in Cork is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team on a part-time basis (Monday-Friday). You will own parts of the monthly close and provide payroll support, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role focuses on month-end close, accounts payable, payroll coverage, and supporting reporting with solid Excel skills and IT competence across finance systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ relevant finance/accounting experience
• Strong Excel and IT skills
• Experience with month-end close and payroll is desirable

Responsibilities

• Own timely close of creditors ledger and post accruals.
• Prepare and post depreciation, amortisation, and fixed asset reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end and group reporting journals with IFRS adjustments.
• Review P&L cost lines for accuracy.
• Maintain clear supporting documentation for postings.
• Process supplier invoices and chase approvals.
• Provide payroll cover and support for weekly payroll.
• Resolve payroll queries and assist with monthly payments.
