Job summary

Barden is recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a Westmeath team on a 6-12 month contract. You will deliver accurate financial reporting and insights to support decision-making, and use systems and data tools to automate processes and drive improvements.

The role focuses on month-end close, budgeting/forecasting support, and producing value-added reports. You will partner with stakeholders to optimise costs and strengthen controls while supporting audit activities.

• Strong analytical capability and experience with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities: reconciliations, journal entries, management reporting with accuracy and deadlines.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with clear analysis and commentary on variances.
• Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports to inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to understand performance, resolve issues, and identify cost opportunities.
• Drive process improvement, KPIs, controls, and audit support.
