Job summary

Barden | B Corp is assisting an Irish business in sourcing a Financial Accountant to join the team on a 6-12 month contract. The role can be based from Kilkenny or Laois and focuses on accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to support decision-making.

You will manage month-end close, assist budgeting and forecasting, deliver reports with meaningful commentary, and drive process improvements, KPI development, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with financial systems expertise.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and collaborate across teams under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities, reconciliations, journal entries and reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with analysis and commentary on variances.
• Prepare financial and operational reports with meaningful insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand performance and identify cost opportunities.
• Contribute to process improvement and audit readiness initiatives.
