Job summary

Alpha Wealth is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner in County Cork, Ireland. You will own technical research and recommendations across pensions, investments and protection while handling complex client queries and supporting an excellent client experience.

You will prepare suitability reports for annual reviews, liaise with advisers and providers, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Strong communication and software skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • QFA minimum required for candidate.
  • Minimum 2+ years paraplanning experience in Irish advisory practices.
  • Knowledge of Irish pensions, investments and protection essential.
  • Strong report-writing, analytical and compliance skills.
  • Confident communicator with clients by phone and email.
  • Proficiency with planning software Voyant and Fasttrack, plus MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare suitability reports and recommendations across pensions, investments and protection.
  • Research and compare products across the Irish market, including pension providers and life assurance.
  • Liaise with clients via phone and email handling complex queries.
  • Prepare documentation for annual client reviews with valuations and updated assessments.
  • Draft suitability letters and client reports and supporting documents.
  • Liaise with product providers, fund managers and life assurance companies.
  • Maintain accurate client records and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Consumer Protection Code 2012, Investment Intermediaries Act 1995 and GDPR.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our financial planning practice. Working closely with our qualified advisers, you will take ownership of the technical research and recommendation process across pensions, investments, and protection, while managing complex client queries and contributing to an excellent client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive suitability reports and recommendations across pensions, investments, and protection.
  • Research and compare products across the Irish market, including pension providers, investment funds, and life assurance solutions.
  • Liaise with clients via telephone and email, handling complex technical queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Conduct and prepare documentation for annual client reviews, including portfolio valuations and updated suitability assessments.
  • Draft suitability letters, client reports and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with product providers, fund managers and life assurance companies on behalf of advisers
  • Maintain accurate client records and contribute to process improvement within the practice
  • Ensure the practice meets its obligations under the Consumer Protection Code 2012, Investment Intermediaries Act 1995, and GDPR
  • Ad hoc duties as required in line with the needs of the business.
Essential Requirements
  • QFA minimum
  • 2+ years' paraplanning experience within an Irish financial advisory practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish pensions, investments, and protection.
  • Strong report-writing, analytical, and compliance skills.
  • Confident communicator - comfortable dealing directly with clients by phone and email.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial planning software such as Voyant, Fasttrack or similar planning tools.
