Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment seeks a Speech and Language Therapist to join a Paediatrics Primary Care Team in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. You will assess and treat children with speech, language, and communication needs within a community setting, supporting families and working with schools and health colleagues.

You will deliver individual and group interventions, maintain records, and participate in CPD. CORU registration and a commitment to evidence-based practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration.
• Experience with paediatric assessment and evidence-based intervention.
• Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to family-centred practice and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage children with speech, language and communication needs in primary care.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based intervention plans.
• Provide parent education, coaching and practical strategies for home and school.
• Deliver individual and group interventions to maximise outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and discharge summaries per policies.
• Collaborate with GPs, public health nurses, OT, audiology, schools and CDNTs.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and CPD activities.
