Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Paediatric Community Nurse to join a team in West Dublin. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care to children at home, including feed management, tracheostomy care, nebuliser and suctioning support, and responsive monitoring for respiratory distress.

The ideal candidate will be NMBI registered, possess a full driving license with access to a car, and have prior home-care experience considered advantageous in this role.

Qualifications

• Be NMBI registered and eligible to practice in Ireland.
• Must hold a full driver’s license and have access to a car.
• Previous experience in home care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a child.
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump.
• Competent in tracheostomy care, changing ties, suctioning and changing tube in emergencies.
• Management and administration of nebulation and suctioning.
• Monitor for signs of respiratory distress.
• Medication management.
• Care of a child with a disability.
• Enteral feeding and medication management.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide play and family support.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care per care plans and prioritize client comfort.

Clarity are currently recruiting for a Paediatric Community Nurse based in West Dublin

Responsibilities include

• Provide nursing care to a child
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
• Competent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation
• Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
• Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
• Medication Management
• Care of a child with a disability
• Manage enteral feeding and medication
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide play and family support
• Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
• Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
• Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client’s interests at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

• NMBI registered
• Must have a full driver's license and car
