Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is recruiting Community Paediatric Nurses to support children with complex healthcare needs in homecare across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and Laois. The roles offer flexible day and night shifts, with both full-time and part-time positions available to suit your availability.

As a Community Paediatric Nurse, you will provide specialist home-based care to children with complex medical needs, working closely with families and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Nurse with paediatric experience.
• Registration with NMBI is mandatory.
• Experience in caring for children with complex needs preferred.
• Experience in ICU/NICU settings is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist one-to-one nursing care in the child’s home.
• Support children with complex medical needs in a safe, family-centred environment.
• Carry out tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG and medication management as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and liaise with families and multidisciplinary teams.

The Role

As a Community Paediatric Nurse, you will provide specialist one-to-one nursing care within the child's home, supporting children with complex medical needs in a safe, family-centred environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Tracheostomy care
• Ventilation management
• Enteral feeding and PEG care
• Medication administration and management
• Clinical monitoring and assessment
• Supporting infants and children with complex healthcare needs
• Working closely with families and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation

Requirements

• Recognised nursing qualification
• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Previous experience in Paediatric Nursing
• Experience in ICU, NICU or paediatric settings is highly desirable
• Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• PEG feeding experience is advantageous

Overseas-trained nurses with ICU, NICU or Paediatric experience who are currently working in Ireland are encouraged to apply.
