Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Paediatric Community Nurse based in Meath to provide high-quality, family-centered care in the child’s home.

The ideal candidate will be an RGN/RCN with NMBI registration, hold a full driving license and car, and have experience in home care or community nursing. You will deliver respiratory, feeding and medication management, liaise closely with families and MDTs, and maintain accurate clinical notes.

Qualifications

• RGN/RCN qualified nurse with NMBI registration.
• Full driving license and access to a car.
• Home care experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a child.
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump.
• Involved in tracheostomy care, suctioning, and emergency tube changes.
• Manage nebs and suctioning.
• Monitor for signs of respiratory distress.
• Pressure area care and medication management.
• Seizure management and care of a child with a disability.
• Assist with ADLs and enteral feeding and medication administration.
• Provide family support and play therapy.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical notes and follow care plans.

Clarity are currently recruiting for a paediatric community nurse based in Meath

Responsibilities include

• Provide nursing care to a child
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
• Competent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation
• Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
• Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
• Pressure area care
• Medication Management
• Seizure management
• Care of a child with a disability
• Manage enteral feeding and medication
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Manage seizures
• Provide play and family support
• Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
• Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
• Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client’s interests at all times
• Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
• Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client’s clinical needs as required.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical note

The ideal candidate will have:

• RGN/RCN qualified
• NMBI registered
• Must have a full drivers license and car
• Previous experience in home care is an advantage
