Job summary

Tekno Surgical in Ireland is seeking an Orthopaedic Sales Specialist – Recon & Mako to cover ROI markets, mainly Sligo and Letterkenny. You will promote the Stryker hips, knees and robotic systems, travel to accounts, support operating theatres and help clinicians adopt advanced implants.

This role blends technical expertise with strategic account management, requiring a 3+ year track record in medical sales or hospital tech service, and a proactive, patient safety–minded approach.

Qualifications

• A Technical Qualification and aptitude for learning new surgical technologies.
• A minimum of 3+ years’ successful track record in medical sales or hospital environment is desirable.
• Experience in Medical device manufacturing & design will be considered.
• Ability to be comfortable working in the Hospital Operating Room environment.
• Role requires both Technical and Sales Skills, with a focus on Customer Service & Patient Safety.
• High drive and planning/organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: customer focused with strong influencing skills
• Good administrative and computing skills
• Commercially aware, be able to manage a complex business.
• Self-motivated and team player

Responsibilities

• The Specialist will be responsible for the complete Orthopaedic Joint replacement Hips, Knees & Mako Robotics Portfolio in your Accounts.
• The working environment will be mainly in the Operating Theatre.
• Assist customers with clinical, technical, and commercial enquires.
• Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships.
• Achievement of sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility.
• Development of new business opportunities and determination of new client and market potential through your contact with Customers, Colleagues, and the Companies who Tekno represents in the Irish Market.
• Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.
• Attendance at relevant conferences and meetings both in Ireland and elsewhere.
