Harvey Nash in Ireland is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the EMEA Regulatory Reporting Technology team, guiding the software platform development and engineering strategy.

You will manage global delivery within an Agile framework, mentor engineers, shape the tech stack (Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, Angular, Java, Spring, Autosys) and partner with business stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in software delivery management with 10+ years software development experience.
• Strong technical skills across Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, Angular, Java and Spring.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and automated unit tests.
• Experience interfacing with 3rd party vendor platforms.

Overview: We are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to join the EMEA Regulatory Reporting Technology team, leading the software development of our technology platform. This important role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach to delivering important business solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on senior developer, leading global teams, responsible for the design and development of the EMEA Regulatory Reporting technology platform solutions
• Design, development and support of the End to End solution, in line with over-arching architecture and technology blueprint
• Planning, coordinating, and execution of technology delivery within an agile framework
• Provide technical thought leadership based on experience building multiple software solutions
• Create frameworks, interfaces and complex components for team(s) to utilize and develop
• Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution
• Supports and mentors the team on design and best practices for high code performance - e.g. code / design reviews
• Ensure development team efficiency and looks for ways to improve
• Helps define the technology tool stack for the solution
• Contributes to test strategy creation and automation of test suites
• Ensure best practice delivery within Agile SDLC framework in line with the enterprise policies and standards
• Ensure strong Risk Management, with risk identification, action-plan execution, and lifecycle ownership
• Proven track record in software delivery management with 10+ years software development experience
• Excellent technical skills (Key Technologies used: Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, Angular, Java, Spring, Autosys) and good knowledge of other emerging technologies
• Experience of interfacing with 3rd party vendor platforms
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

• Strong leader, capable of guiding tech team to implement technical designs

• Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and JIRA framework
• Experience of working within a large organization or financial services company
• Oracle PL/SQL (intermediate to advanced level) Database Development experience
