Optical Receptionist / Customer Advisor – Mayo

The Role

Our client, an established optician practice in County Mayo, is seeking a friendly and professional Optical Receptionist / Customer Advisor to join its team.

The successful candidate will welcome customers, manage appointments, support the day-to-day administration of the practice and assist customers with the selection of frames and optical products.

Previous experience in an optician practice would be an advantage but is not essential. Applications are also welcomed from candidates with experience in reception, administration, retail, hospitality, pharmacy, healthcare or customer service. Full training can be provided to the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and create a friendly, professional first impression.
• Manage appointments for eye examinations, consultations and collections.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries.
• Maintain accurate and confidential customer records.
• Assist customers with selecting frames and optical products.
• Explain available products, services and pricing clearly.
• Process orders for glasses, lenses and other optical products.
• Contact customers when glasses or products are ready for collection.
• Arrange follow-up appointments where required.
