Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. in West Dublin seeks an OpEx Specialist (GMP) to lead strategic projects, drive end-to-end process transformation and embed Lean leadership. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in strategy/business excellence within a matrixed environment, strongly with Lean Six Sigma and Power BI expertise to inform decisions and optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years delivering strategy and business excellence systems in a complex, matrixed organisation (GxP preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and/or PMP, Change Management or Strategic Management certifications desirable.
• Power BI skills.

• Lead supply chain efficiency initiatives to optimise resource allocation and minimise waste.

We currently have an opportunity for an OpEx Specialist (GMP) to join a biopharmaceutical company in West Dublin. The successful candidate will lead strategic projects, improve operational processes and develop cross-functional capabilities. The role focuses on operational excellence, digital innovation and end-to-end process transformation, establishing global standards and embedding continuous improvement and Lean leadership to support productivity, scalability and resilience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead supply chain efficiency initiatives to optimise resource allocation and minimise waste.
• Embed continuous improvement and Lean methodologies, equipping teams with the tools and knowledge to improve performance.
• Develop and adapt standardised work processes to ensure consistency and quality, and facilitate problem-solving workshops.
• Conduct value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement improvements to workflows and product delivery.
• Support the deployment of Design for Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve product and process quality.
• Develop performance metrics and use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improvements.
• Oversee digital transformation projects, integrating digital solutions to streamline processes and improve decision-making.
• Support the implementation of global strategies and align improvement initiatives with organisational objectives.
• Improve meeting effectiveness, communication and collaboration across teams.
• Conduct organisational maturity assessments and develop action plans to address capability gaps.
• Lead and support strategic improvement initiatives through training, coaching and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and refine business governance processes to improve operational efficiency and performance management.
• Mentor and coach programme sponsors, managers and key users to support effective strategy execution.
• Support workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives aligned with organisational values.
• Collaborate with central operational excellence teams to adapt standards across operations and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Support recognition initiatives that acknowledge successful project outcomes and employee contributions.
• Lead learning and development programmes to build employee skills and knowledge.
• Oversee onboarding programmes that integrate new employees into the organisation’s culture and operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or a related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience delivering strategy and business excellence systems, or in a similar role within a complex, matrixed organisation, preferably in a GxP environment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred), PMP, Change Management or Strategic Management certifications are desirable.
• Power BI skills.
