Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation, standardisation and ongoing sustainability of 6S across BCoE laboratories.
• Programme coordination, workplace assessments, visual standards, audits and action tracking.
• Provide training, coaching and performance reporting to ensure daily workplace organisation.
• Collaborate with laboratory teams, scientists, engineers and EHS to embed 6S in daily practice.
• Support continuous improvement goals to improve efficiency, safety and compliance.

Role Overview

• Operational Excellence 6S Specialist within BcoE. Thisrole is required for 12 months to support lab expansion and we don't haveexpertise in 6S in the team.
• The role would provide dedicated ownership forimplementing and sustaining 6S across laboratories areas. Key accountabilitieswould include programme coordination, workplace assessments, visual standards,audits, action tracking, training, coaching and performance reporting.
• The position is proposed as an individual-contributorrole .The preferred candidate wouldhave experience in a regulated operational environment, practical 5S or 6Sknowledge and strong change-management and facilitation skills.
• The role would help strengthen safety, improve workplaceorganisation and operational flow, and ensure that 6S becomes embedded in dailyworking practices.
• The Operational Excellence 6S Specialist will lead andsupport the implementation, standardisation and ongoing sustainability of 6Sacross BCoE laboratories.
• 6S builds upon the principles of Sort, Set in Order,Shine, Standardise and Sustain, with Safety integrated throughout. The rolewill help create safe, compliant, efficient and visually managed workplacesthat enable colleagues to perform their work effectively and consistently.
• This position will partner closely with laboratory teams,scientists, engineers, Environmental Health and Safety,Facilities and BCoEleadership.
• The successful candidate will combine practical workplaceorganisation experience with strong facilitation, coaching, data analysis andchange-management skills.
