Job summary

LSC Life Science Consultants in Cork seeks an Operational Excellence Specialist to lead 6S across our Biopharma operations. The role partners with scientists, engineers and EH&S to standardise processes and sustain improvements in a regulated environment.

The contract position emphasizes workplace organisation, data-driven problem solving and a strong coaching mindset to drive efficiency and compliance in the lab setting.

Qualifications

• 5S/6S knowledge in a regulated lab or cleanroom is preferred.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and training abilities.
• Experience with data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Contract opportunity; visa eligibility (Stamp 1G/Stamp 4) is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation, standardisation and ongoing sustainability of 6S across BCoE laboratories.
• Support the organisation's Operational Excellence goals through proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Create safe, compliant, efficient and visually managed workplaces that enable consistent work performance.
• Collaborate with laboratory teams, scientists, engineers, EH&S, Facilities and BCoE leadership.

LSC have a great contract opportunity for a Operational Excellence Specialist to join a Cork based Biopharmaceutical company. The site manufactures low volume bulk API for Phase III clinical trials, initial product launch and long-term market support. The team on site grow, purify, formulate, and bulk fill mammalian cell culture derived APIs for medicines intended for human use.

ABOUT THE PROJECT - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Operational Excellence 6S Specialist will lead and support the implementation, standardisation and ongoing sustainability of 6S across BCoE laboratories.


• The role supports the organisation's Operational Excellence expectation that employees actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement, while leaders establish improvement goals that make processes more efficient and agile in a compliant manner


• 6S builds upon the principles of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain, with Safety integrated throughout. The role will help create safe, compliant, efficient and visually managed workplaces that enable colleagues to perform their work effectively and consistently.


• This position will partner closely with laboratory teams, scientists, engineers, Environmental Health and Safety Facilities and BCoE leadership.

• The successful candidate will combine practical workplace organisation experience with strong facilitation, coaching, data analysis and change-management skills.


• The preferred candidate would have experience in a regulated operational environment.
