Job summary

Axis Environmental Services in Limerick is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across field services, emissions testing, laboratories and reporting. You will guide teams, manage workloads and drive performance to meet client expectations.

The role focuses on people and operational leadership rather than technical specialization, with responsibilities spanning coordination, process improvement and stakeholder communication across multiple service areas.

• Experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience managing operational teams, schedules and workloads.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience improving operational performance and business processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT skills and experience using operational management systems.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations across field services, air emissions, laboratory and reporting teams.
• Coordinate resources, scheduling and workloads to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Support and develop operational staff through coaching, training and performance management.
• Ensure reporting deadlines are met and client deliverables are issued accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee equipment management, servicing schedules and operational readiness.
• Maintain and improve operational procedures and workflows.
• Support the preparation of routine quotations and pricing requests.
• Manage RAMS, auditing activities and operational compliance requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact for operational queries from colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
• Provide regular operational updates and performance information to the leadership team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
