Celtic Tweed in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, invites applications for an experienced Operations Manager to drive operational planning, commercial performance, and people strategy across our retail, ecommerce, and wholesale channels.

You will partner with the founders and store heads to implement planning, processes, and accountability frameworks while building capability and a scalable operation for growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in an Operations, Business Operations, or People/HR leadership role.
• Proven multi-channel revenue ownership across retail, ecommerce, and wholesale.
• Strong HR and payroll administration experience.
• Senior leadership communication with founders and managers.
• Familiarity with Katana MRP, Shopify and QuickBooks Online.
• Based near Balbriggan, with ability to visit shops/events.

Operations Manager Celtic Tweed — Balbriggan, Co. Dublin Full-time - Senior Leadership Role

About Us

At Celtic Tweed, we create heritage-inspired, sustainably made Irish tweed and linen clothing collections. Blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design, we sell our bespoke and ready-to-wear collections online, through two flagship retail shops, at pop-up events, and via global B2B wholesale partnerships. As we grow, we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help us scale.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position working directly alongside our founders to drive the operational planning, commercial performance, and people strategy of the business. You'll own revenue and operational planning across all our channels, lead HR and payroll administration, and be accountable for a consistently excellent customer experience — from our shop floors to our website to our factory tours.

You'll lead the business through our Store Managers and department heads rather than managing every team directly, giving them the planning support, processes, and accountability frameworks they need to succeed — while you focus on the bigger picture.

What You'll Do

• Own operational and revenue planning across retail, ecommerce, and wholesale, aligning activity with seasonal collections, launches, and peak trading
• Act as the key link between our founders and the wider business, and help us scale the business using available and approved technology
• Guide and support Store Managers and department heads — providing planning, processes, and accountability, not day-to-day people management
• Oversee recruitment approvals (department heads lead initial hiring, you make the final call) and ensure every team has a strong training and development plan
• Manage monthly payroll administration and keep employee records accurate and compliant
• Set the standard for customer experience across every channel and equip our teams to deliver it
• Drive a lean, continuously improving operation across production, inventory, raw materials flow, shipping, and admin
• Oversee production capacity planning, inventory levels, and our factory tour programme in coordination with the relevant teams

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years in an Operations, Business Operations, or People/HR leadership role, ideally in retail, fashion, or another consumer-facing business
• A track record of owning revenue or commercial performance across multiple sales channels
• Strong HR and payroll administration experience — recruitment, performance management, employment records
• A confident, senior leadership communication style — comfortable working directly with founders and leading indirectly through managers
• Working familiarity with core business systems (e.g. Katana MRP, Shopify, QuickBooks Online)
• Based near Balbriggan, with flexibility to visit our retail shops and event locations as needed
