Job summary

Element Six, part of the De Beers Group, seeks an Operations Manager for a 24/7 advanced manufacturing environment. You will lead a production team, interface with maintenance and supply chain, and drive safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will manage budgets, champion continuous improvement, and develop capabilities across cross-site functions while delivering production targets on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.
• Strong track record in safety, quality, delivery and cost optimization.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, supply chain and engineering.
• Proficient in MS Office and production management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and occupational health for 24/7 department operations.
• Provide vision, leadership and investment justification for the department.
• Own operational cost, production volumes, planning and KPI delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering and R&D to meet targets.
• Manage procurement, processing and delivery functions for the department.
• Deliver continuous improvement using business excellence tools and concepts.
• Deliver the department budget and develop a high-performing team.
