Job summary

Element Six, part of the De Beers Group, seeks a Team Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead a segmentation production team, drive safety, quality and continuous improvement, and achieve operational targets.

You will mentor staff, manage KPIs, support World Class Manufacturing initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production, service and productivity goals. The role emphasizes VFL and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong people management/ leadership skills with the ability to lead, communicate and influence team members.
• Experience in a similar manufacturing role with lean and process improvement knowledge; Green Belt certification is an advantage.
• Strong PowerBi skills are desirable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing loss analysis, process capability, yield improvement and root-cause problem solving.
• Knowledge of Databricks and ability to create relevant data queries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership to a production team and drive safety, quality and engagement.
• Own day-to-day KPIs and reporting, coordinating with support functions.
• Champion World Class Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Coach team members to achieve performance targets and continuous improvement.
• Lead or support capacity, quality, cost and process improvement projects as required.
