Job summary

Element Six (E6), part of the De Beers Group, seeks a Team Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the Segmentation production team. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity, managing performance, mentoring staff, and delivering continuous improvement through the E6 production system.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure targets are met, develop dashboards and reports, and uphold World Class Manufacturing practices across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production team in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean and process improvement knowledge; Green Belt certification is an advantage.
• Power BI skills desirable for KPI reporting and dashboards.
• Knowledge of data queries and process data to identify losses and optimize performance.
• Openness to new methodologies and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Segmentation production team to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Drive World Class Manufacturing activities, PPS, 6S and continuous improvement programs.
• Own KPIs and reporting; coordinate with support functions and shift leads.
• Promote Visible Felt Leadership and safety culture across all shifts.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to support process development and trials.
• Provide structured feedback and data-driven insights to cross-functional teams.
