Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment is seeking an organised and customer-focused Operations & Administration Executive to join our client’s team in Tralee, County Kerry. Job description

Red Chair Recruitment is currently seeking an organised and customer-focused Operations & Administration Executive to join our client’s team in Tralee, County Kerry. This is a key operational role responsible for managing all aspects of customer holidays from the point of sale through to completion, ensuring every element of each trip is carefully coordinated and delivered to a high standard.


Working within a seasonal tourism environment, the successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service focus are essential.


Seasonal Working Pattern: From May to September, the working week will operate on either a Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday basis, depending on business requirements. In recognition of weekend working during the peak season, employees benefit from a four-day working week for four months during the off-season.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage customer bookings from the point of sale through to the successful completion of their holiday.

  • Coordinate and book accommodation, transport, activities, and other travel-related services.

  • Prepare detailed holiday documentation, itineraries, and customer information packs.

  • Ensure all booking and customer information is accurate and up to date across CRM and internal systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, bookings, and customer details.

  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure all aspects of each holiday are coordinated smoothly.

  • Monitor bookings and proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise before or during a customer’s trip.

  • Provide customers with timely updates and assistance throughout the holiday planning and delivery process.

  • Maintain accurate financial, operational, and statistical records.

  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Provide general administrative and operational support as required.


Requirements


  • Previous experience in an administrative, operations, travel, tourism, or customer-service environment.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Good IT skills and confidence working with CRM and administrative systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, bookings, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Previous experience within the travel or tourism industry would be an advantage.


Salary & Benefits


  • €32,000–€39,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Permanent, full-time position.

  • Four-day working week during four months of the off-season.

  • Flexitime.
