Job summary

Hamilton Re is seeking an Operations Support role based in Ireland or Bermuda to maintain underwriting data integrity and support reinsurance operations. You will process and review underwriting transactions, manage receivables/payables, and assist with audits and documentation.

Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders is essential to drive efficiency and accuracy. Ideal candidates will have experience in reinsurance, knowledge of contracts, and proficiency with SICS or similar

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in a similar role within the reinsurance industry.
• Significant knowledge of reinsurance and insurance contract terms.
• Advanced knowledge of SICS or a similar underwriting system is an advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a small team, with accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive to adopt new technologies to increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accurate recording of underwriting transactions in SICS.
• Execute control processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy of underwriting transactions processed in SICS, with respect to areas of responsibility, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage receivable and payable balances process to ensure effective credit control and perform broker follow up as required.
• Prepare underwriting cash reconciliations.
• Process Letter of Credits (LOC).
• Assist with the creation and update of process documentation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide suggestions for process improvement, where applicable.
• Participate in the interim and year-end external and internal audit process.
• Participate in process improvement projects and system enhancements within the Operations team through collaboration with other departments, as required.
• Perform implementation testing and preparation of project implementation and testing documentation, as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with internal process documentation and policies.
• Assist with other ad hoc tasks and projects as required by management.

Based in Ireland or Bermuda and reporting to the Bermuda-based AVP, Operations Manager, you’ll provide best-in-class support service to our clients and maintain the integrity of our underwriting data. You’ll support aspects of our Reinsurance Operations.

Hamilton Re is our Bermuda-based company which provides both reinsurance and across property, casualty and specialty lines globally.

What you will do
