Job summary

Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver specialised oncology nursing care, assess patients comprehensively, and coordinate MDT-led treatment plans. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, education, and patient advocacy within a modern private hospital setting.

The CNS will collaborate with Consultants and GP teams, lead in service development, and drive continuous quality improvement across Direct and Indirect care domains.

Qualifications

Be registered in the general division of the NMBI.
Five years of post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent).
Two years nursing experience in oncology or a related specialist area.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist nursing care for oncology patients with evidence-based practice.
Undertake comprehensive patient assessments to develop individual care plans.
Coordinate investigations, treatments and follow-up with the MDT.
Communicate with patients, families and carers to support needs and provide education.
Contribute to development of oncology PPPGs and care pathways.
