Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Install Engineer to ensure proper tool installation at customer sites, including pre-installation, installation, testing, and acceptance. You will lead technical activities to verify performance and provide user training, working across global teams.

You will collaborate with service sales, marketing, and field operations, traveling up to 80% to support customers, and applying a broad set of optical and electronic engineering skills to ensure tool readiness.

Qualifications

• High-level technical & analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand customer needs.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines in installation cycles.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-installation meetings to scope customer requirements.
• Create action plans to meet unique customer needs.
• Validate deliverables with customers and ensure tool readiness.
• Install tools at customer sites and conduct system testing per procedures.
• Coordinate light source, optical integration, wafer handler, camera alignment and calibration.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues using structured problem-solving methods.
• Manage escalations across customers and regions.
• Provide training on new product installations to worldwide teams.
