Catalyx is seeking a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to join our team on our customer site in Longford. You will lead safety across site operations, own the facilities, and drive a culture of safe production.

This hands-on role requires ISO 45001 knowledge, incident investigations, and oversight of lifting, transport, maintenance and contractors. You will report to senior leadership and support audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within construction, manufacturing, engineering, or a similarly structured production environment, including at least 2 years at manager or lead level.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the General Application Regulations 2007, and the Construction Regulations 2013.
• Proven track record of leading incident investigations and producing well-evidenced reports.
• Experience managing lifting operations, forklifts, and workplace transport.
• Experience managing facilities, maintenance, statutory inspections, and contractors.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to influence at shop floor and leadership level.
• Strong report-writing, organisational, and IT skills.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001 and Irish legislation.
• Carry out daily inspections and audits; close out hazards promptly.
• Act as competent person and main contact for HSA; report on safety KPIs.
• Lead incident investigations and produce well-evidenced reports.
• Manage lifting, forklift safety, chemical safety and fire safety.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, inspections, and service contractors.
• Manage security, access control; plan layout and storage changes as production grows.
• Ensure environmental management and report performance to leadership.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and training; track certifications.
