Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland Limited seeks a Construction Quality Monitor to support delivery of primary and secondary school projects across Ireland. You will monitor on-site quality, verify drawings and specs, and maintain quality records, liaising with contractors, designers and clients to ensure compliance with contract documents and standards.

The role requires Clerk of Works Institute membership and experience in building projects, with strong attention to detail, and willingness to travel between

Qualifications

• Member of the Clerk of Works Institute.
• Experience working on building construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of construction methods, building regulations and quality assurance processes.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
• Familiarity with BCAR requirements and Irish construction standards.
• Experience in site supervision, Clerk of Works, Resident Engineer or quality inspection role.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities on site and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections and maintain project quality records.
• Review contractors' inspection and test documentation.
• Assist in the identification, recording and close-out of non-conformances and defects.
• Support project handover activities, snagging and completion inspections.
• Maintain accurate site records and prepare quality reports.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality-related matters.
• Liaise with contractors, design teams and client representatives.
• Promote a positive culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
• Support the Resident Engineer, Employer's Representative or Project Manager as required.
