Job summary

BNRG Renewables is seeking a Construction Manager to deliver utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects in Ireland from Ready to Build to COD and handover. The role is hands-on, requiring leadership of construction activities, contractor management, and strong safety and quality oversight on site.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Development and coordinate interfaces with contractors, landowners, grid operators and internal teams to ensure projects are completed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ construction/project delivery experience.
• Demonstrable experience delivering utility-scale solar PV projects through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, owner’s engineers, consultants and site-based project teams.
• Strong communication, organisation, reporting and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction phase delivery for utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects from Ready to Build through COD and handover.
• Oversee health, safety and environmental compliance and enforce safety culture on site.
• Manage quality plans, inspections, testing, snags and close-out documentation to meet design and industry standards.
• Coordinate interfaces with ESB Networks, EirGrid or other network operators for grid connection and commissioning.
• Maintain clear project reporting on safety, programme, budget, quality and risk.
• Liaise with landowners, authorities, utilities, EPCs and internal project teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
