Job summary

Enable Ireland in Galway (CDNT5) invites applications for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team. The role provides skilled OT services to children, young people and their families, with focus on assessment and planned interventions tailored to life stages.

The successful candidate will be registered or eligible for CORU, with post-qualification paediatric disability experience and an interest in assistive technology.

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Post-qualification experience in paediatric disability setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled Occupational Therapy services to meet the assessed needs of children, young people and their families.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Contribute to assessment of need and development of individual care plans.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Galway (CDNT5).

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Scale: €43,231 to €63,184pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days

Working as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team to provide skilled Occupational Therapy Services to meet the assessed needs of children, young people and their families.

The successful candidate will have
  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
  • On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
  • Be eligible to work in the state.
  • Interdisciplinary team working.
  • Experience in 0-18years’ age group.
  • Post qualification experience in paediatric disability setting.
  • Any relevant postgraduate training specific to child disability services.
  • Experience in conducting Assessment of need.
  • Interest in Assistive Technology
