Job summary

Enable Ireland is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist - Senior Grade to join the CDNT 7 Tymon team in Dublin. The role is a permanent, full-time post with a 35-hour week and salary scale €63,313 - €74,947 pro rata per annum.

The successful candidate will provide a range of SLT services to children aged 0–18 and their families, across clinics, preschools, schools, homes and community settings, within an interdisciplinary framework.

Qualifications

• Be registered or eligible for registration as an SLT with CORU.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
• Experience with children 0–18 years and families.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Speech and Language Therapist - Senior Grade to join our team in CDNT 7 Tymon.

Contract Type: Permanent Full time

Contract Hours: 35 hpw

Salary Scale: €63,313 -€74,947 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post:

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will have

i. Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU

And

ii. Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience

And

iii. Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office

And

iv. Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued

Annual Registration

i. On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

And

ii. Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland

• 3 years recent relevant post qualification experience which includes a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience of working with children with a range of disabilities / developmental delay and their families.
• Experience of working with children aged 0 – 18 years and their families.
• Candidates must have current eligibility to work in the State.
• Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area
• Post graduate training and experience in Management of FEDS Disorders
• Relevant post graduate training specific to 0 – 18 years.
• Experience in conducting Assessment of Need.
• Relevant training and experience in the assessment and intervention of children with autism.
• Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
