Enable Ireland seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Wicklow teams. The post involves delivering OT assessments and interventions for children aged 0–18 and their families within an interdisciplinary framework.
You must be registered or eligible for registration with CORU, have postgraduate experience in child disability services, and be able to work across clinics, schools and community settings. The role is permanent, 35 hours weekly, pro rata salary.

We are currently seeking highly-motivated Staff Grade Occupational Therapists to join our teams in Wicklow.
Contract Type: Permanent Post
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary Scale: €43,231 – €63,184pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days per annum
Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Physiotherapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
AND
Eligible to work in the State.
On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
AND
Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
Post graduate work experience as a Occupational Therapist.
Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
Any relevant post graduate training specific to child disability services.
Experience in working with Assistive Technology.
Post graduate experience in a public sector health service.
Experience working on or completing a placement with a CDNT.
Relevant voluntary experience working with children or people with disabilities.
A panel may be formed from this vacancy for any similar vacancies, which may arise during the next 12 months.
