Job summary

Ethos Care Group in Carrick-on-Suir, Ireland, Munster, seeks an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead our nursing home team and oversee delivery of compassionate, resident-centred care within HIQA standards.

You will provide strong leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, drive clinical governance and quality improvement, and foster a positive, collaborative culture with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Active NMBI registration and current RN license.
• Experience in senior nursing/management within residential care.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and management across all aspects of nursing home operations
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, regulations, and best practice guidelines
• Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and resident care standards
• Lead, support, and develop multidisciplinary teams
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, respect, and excellence
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident experience and outcomes
• Manage operational performance while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
