Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Quality and Patient Safety for a hospital in Limerick, Ireland. This full-time permanent role offers 37.5 hours weekly in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration or eligible for registration.
• Minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience, including acute care.
• Experience in quality assurance, clinical audit, patient safety, risk management or related quality activities.
• Commitment to continuing professional development in leadership, quality improvement and patient safety.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational, analytical and report-writing skills; able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Qualif in management/leadership or willingness to pursue relevant qualification; experience with accreditation/inspections advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concise, evidence-based clinical and incident reviews per hospital criteria and timelines.
• Identify contributory factors, care-delivery concerns, learning opportunities and recommendations.
• Maintain QPulse documentation, audit trails, and monitor corrective actions and escalations.
• Support risk management through hazard identification, risk assessments and policy updates.
• Contribute to accreditation readiness, including evidence gathering and mock surveys.
• Use reviews and audits to drive measurable improvement plans and monitor outcomes.
